Oswego County Music Educator’s Association

All-County Band Festival 2010

January 15th & 16th 2010

Hosted by Hannibal Central Schools

Concert Information and Tickets:

The All-County Band Concert will be held in the Hannibal High School Auditorium on Saturday, January 16th, beginning at 2:00 p.m. There is an admission charge for the all-county concert. Tickets, available at the door, are $3.00 for adults, and $2.00 for senior citizens and students.

Rehearsal Schedule:

All students must be in attendance for all scheduled rehearsals. There will be no exceptions. Music must be prepared individually prior to the first rehearsal. Students should have all accessories (i.e. mutes, oil, reeds, pencil, etc.). Please see attached rehearsal schedule for exact times.

Music:

Participating students should have received a packet with all of your music. Selections included in your packet should be:

Junior High Band:

Silverbrook – Michael Sweeny

Serengetti – John Higgins

Black Is The Color – Robert Sheldon

Espana Cani – Pascual Marquina/John Moss

Senior High Band:

Blue Sky Day - Timothy Mahr

With Quiet Courage - Larry Daehn

Joy Revisited - Frank Ticheli

Men of Ohio - Henry Fillmore, edited by Foster

If you did not receive all of these selections, please contact your band director immediately. All music must be returned immediately after the concert. Boxes will be backstage. Your district will be billed for music that is not returned!!

Meals:

There will be food available to purchase for Friday dinner and Saturday lunch. We are planning the following menu:

Homemade Pizza  $2.00 large slice

Chicken Patty on a roll  $2.00

Sub: choice of turkey or ham  $2.00

Yogurt Parfait $2.00

Sides:

Bottled 100% Juice $1.50

French Fries  $1.00

Side Salad $1.00

Water  $1.00

Fresh Fruit $.50

Milk $.50

Sunchips  $.50

Cookie  $.50

Participation Fees:

Band Directors please forward the participation fee ($7.00 per student) to Steve Defren, OCMEA Treasurer, Oswego High School, Oswego, NY 13126. Return the participation fee form with a single check for payment.

Commemoratives:

T-Shirts will be available to purchase on Saturday before and after the concert. Cost is $10.00 per shirt.

CD orders will be taken on Saturday before and after the concert. Cost is $15 per CD.

Concert Dress:

Students should plan to wear concert dress all day Saturday. The schedule does not allow for time to change into concert dress. ( Senior High students will have an opportunity to change, due to moving.)

Ladies – Black skirt, white blouse

Gentlemen – Black dress pants, white shirt, long tie

Cancellation Policy:

In the event of inclement weather, check local T.V. and radio stations for announcements. If Friday is cancelled for any reason, we will still attempt to run Saturday’s schedule as is.
